CHSP - Certified Homeland Security Professional


The Certified Homeland Security Professional [CHSP] courses and certifications are designed to prepare and certify the next generation of homeland security professionals in both the physical and digital spectrum of the business.

Be prepared to face the challenges of the new asymmetric terrorist threat we face today with a CHSP education and certification!

Created by experts in homeland security, counter-terrorism, intelligence analysis, law enforcement and special operations personnel, the CHSP courses and certifications give you an unique education of the physical and digital realms of homeland security that can advance your career or certify your knowledge for the homeland security line of work.

  1. Click here to sign up and obtain detailed information on the course learning portal. (http://sighls.org/learning)

  2. Once authenticated select the course for which you would like to register. The main CHSP certification is covered in the course HS 500.
  3. Complete the course requirements and prepare for the CHSP certification exam.
  4. Register for the CHSP certification exam - Course HS 500E. (CERTIFICATION EXAM CAN BE ATTEMPTED WITHOUT COMPLETION OF THE PREPARATORY COURSE, ALTHOUGH WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE THE COURSE FIRST).
  5. Pass the examination with a score of 75% or greater and you will receive the CHSP certification. (Results are displayed immediately after completion of the exam.  Two attempts are included in the cost of one exam registration.)
  6. Receive your CHSP certification in the mail within 4 weeks after successfully passing the exam.
  7. Recertification is required every 3 years.
